    Master Detail table problem

    Hi all,

    I have following structure:

    <RecipeSet> --> repeated element
    <Type></Type>
    <Categorie></Categorie>
    <Recipe> --> repeated element
    <Name></Name>
    <Details>
    <D1></D1>
    <D2></D2>
    <D3></D3>
    </Details>
    </Recipe>
    </RecipeSet>

    I will show all types and categories of all RecipeSets in a repeating table (Master). By clicking a row all Recipe Name elements will be displayed in a repeating table (details).
    When I click a Recipe Name all details of this Recipe have to be display in a section.
    The RecipeSet and Recipe is a Master-Detail table. The Recipe and the Details should also be have a Master-Detail table.
    How can I set that the Recipe table is a Detail table and a Master table?
    I hope you will understand my problem.

    Sample:
    Recipe Sets (Master table):
    Type | Categorie
    ----------------
    T1 | C1
    T2 | C2
    T3 | C3

    Recipes of T2 and C2 (Detail table):
    Recipe Name
    -----------
    Name1T2C2
    Name2T2C2
    Name3T2C2

    Details of Name3T2C2 (Detail section of Recipe):
    D1: Test1
    D2: Test2
    D3: Test3

    Re: Master Detail table problem

    Hi Mancha,

    This is an interesting scenario and although I have not tested what I am about to tell you, I think it should work.

    The top table will just be a regular table listing all of the RecipeSets. The next table will be a Master Table (with the third table as detail), but it will also have a Filter on it such that "Display when ../Type = /XPath/To/SelectedRecipeSet". Now, in the top table you will need to write an OnAfterChange event listener that changes the value of the SelectedRecipeSet node to have the Type for that which is selected. This way it will behave as a master table for the third table, but only display the rows that correspond to the RecipeSet that was chosen.

    I hope this makes sense, let me know if you need mroe specific examples!
