I hope my subject makes sense. I'm using external data connection to query values and place them in my list item in Infopath. But I'm stuck on a unique issue.
Here's the setup:
* External data connection is a SP list. Field Names are: Title, Sex, Region, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08,....65. (The fields are storing specific values based on a person's age)
* Infopath form is intended to populate a field with a value from the external data connection. If a male user states in the form that their age is 37 and their region as Southwest, then the xpath rule should know to get the value of field 37 where Sex=M and Region= Southwest. If a male from the Northeast who is 53 years old, then the xpath should return the value in field 53 when Sex=M and Region=Northeast.
I am doing it this way rather than have an Age field because I tried it that way initially and there was far too much data for the form to query. It timed out and threw and error. My initial testing shows that fewer records but with more fields leads to a quicker query.
I just can't figure out the logic to make the xpath be smart enough to query the correct age field.
Thanks in advance for any help.
