How to log all entered text box values queried without submit the form?

Hi - I need to add the following to a current production form:

    • I have a Form library in production which uses a browser form that submits to a SharePoint 2010 form Library.
    • One aspect of the many things on this form is that a user enters a number that queries an external SOAP web service (To SQL)  and returns data - this works well - no issues so far.
    • I now need to record (write to list) every number that is entered into a text field and queried, without having to submit the form.

I want to use a SharePoint list, as it will capture the number, the user and the date and time the Query was entered/created.

In effect, this would create  an audit log for any number that was queried, even if the form is closed (Not Submitted)

Is this even possible using a browser form?

Appreciate any pointers on how to achieve this - I thought maybe passing a web part parameter to a hidden web part would do the trick, but none of the OOTB web parts will write to a list on receive....

    Thanks

    Hi Dieter,

You may want to check the CAML approach from this guide: Add SharePoint List Items with InfoPath, in order to submit to a SharePoint list. Upon query, you may want to add a rule which submits to the SharePoint list to capture the number, the user and the date and time the Query was entered/created. Also, I would like to suggest qRule's SubmitToSharePointList command if you wish to avoid writing code. Hope this helps.
