Having two functions for one formula in default value for text properties

Hello, I'm new to creating infopath forums and I'm having trouble figuring out how to add two functions into a formula. Under text box properties, I'm try to change the default value to turn any symbols and numbers to a blank character and also remove any white space. Here are the two functions I'm trying to use: translate(Title, "!@#$%^&*()-=+:;1234567890~`[]{}/\|<>", "") normalize-space(Title) I can run one or the other but can't figure out how to run both. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

You want to nest the functions inside each other. Just decide which function should run first. I'd run the translate one first then the normalize space one, something like this:

    normalize-space(translate(Title, "!@#$%^&*()-=+:;1234567890~`[]{}/\|<>", ""))
