    InfoPath Domain Security Issue

I have a InfoPath Form that is deployed in production with 'Domain' level security. It works fine for most of the user community and they have successfully submitted the form. But few users are receiving the following error

Your user name or group membership cannot be verified because the form's security settings do not permit it.

    Any ideas...

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi bala,

What version of InfoPath are you using? A quick search turned up this post with the same error message, but I don't know how pertinant it is since you said your template is domain trust:http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=362

    Re: InfoPath Domain Security Issue

If they have the domain in their IE Full Trust settings, that could be a problem. Have them check Full Trust sites in Internet Explorer's Tools->Settings->Security tab.

If the form has .NET code and they have installed a .NET app that modified CAS, that could also explain the situation. In that case you will have to open CAS and check.

    1. Open Control Panel and click on Administrative Tools
    2. Double click Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Configuration
    3. Expand My Computer
    4. Expand Runtime Security Policy
    5. Compare everything under that tree with a user who has it working (this is a really slow process, so hopefully it's the first issue above)...

    Other possibilities:
    - Not authenticated to the domain (accessing from a cross-site)
    - InfoPath form tries to load another site that they don't have access to
    - etc.

    Re: InfoPath Domain Security Issue

I am getting the following error message when I am trying to open a form I have published on Sharepoint:

    "Insufficent Security Privilege

This form cannot be opened because it requests domain security level and is only allowed restricted security level. Contact the form author to resolve the issue."

    OK,

I cannot open the form when I am on my own PC.
When I have tried to open the form on a number of different PC's, the form opens without any problems.

    What could be causing this?

Any tips or ideas would be of great help.

We also have a number of forms published on Sharepoint within the organisation that can be opened by most people, but not opened by some other members of staff.
    What causes this?

    Thank you
