Hello,
Love the forum! I have been unable to find an answer to my dilema....
I have a SP List and customized infopath 2010 form...The form contains a multi select list box which gets its values from a secondary data source. The secondary source is another list table that has 2 fields (Name and Email)....the multi-select box displays the name and value is the email address.
This all works perfect so far. So what I am trying to do now is concat the selected names email addresses into a field so I can use it for emailing via outlook. I figured I would create another field and concat and call this concat field....Found out this will not work but I should use the eval function.....
SO I use eval formula eval(eval(multiselectfieldname, 'concat(., ";")'), "..") on a single line text field and It does work but is wierd....When I select a name it does not populate the field. Select a 2nd name it does not populate. deselect the 2nd name and then the first name populates. So it appears to make this work right I need to select all the names and select one additional and deselect it then all my names emails appear as needed. If someone knows a fix for this I am good I think....
This didnt seem right so I kept digging....So I found this link on a post that almost gets me to where I need I think....http://blogs.msdn.com/b/infopath/archive/2006/04/05/569338.aspx as well on another post this attachment example (attached above - save to save to desktop and right click/select design to edit) and reversed engineered.
This does do the desired effect names email appear and disspaear as select.....and I thought I was well on my way when I realized now I cant use the mailto function because I cannot find the field to call....the field is a calculated field?....how can I call the calculated field value using mailto: function
I hope this makes sense
Thanks for any support you can provide.
