Out of 300 employees, only 3 having this issue. Once a form has been saved to a library, my 3 users are getting an error message any time they click the shortcut link to that form: https://mossxxxx/sites/xxx/xxxx.xml
It states: File Download: Do you want to save this file? Type: XML Document. Save or Cancel. The file you are downloading cannot be opened by the default program. It is either corrupted or it has an incorrect file type. As a security precaution, it is recommended that you cancel the download.
There is no option to open.
The XML File Type on their computer is set the same as mine and all the other 297 employees.
They CAN only open the form while in the library on the main .aspx page.
They CAN NOT open the form if they were to choose View Properties and click that link from there.
They CAN NOT open the form from the shortcut hyperlink in any situation, when pasted in an email to them, from a word document, etc.
They CAN create forms and save to library with no problems, just like everyone else.
I'm using: InfoPath 2007, MOSS 2007, IE8.
Is it an add-on in their IE8? An Active X security setting?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
