Hi,
I've got a strange performance problem:
I've deployed a infopath (web)form which is generally working fine. In this form I'm trying to query a external SOAP-webservice (accross the domain) by clicking a button (no onload events etc.). The informations about the connection are stored in a central udcx file which is (of course) stored on our sharepoint server.
By clicking the button query parameters are set and the webservice gets called. It's returning a bunch of data afterwards. Using the form in infopath filler the query takes about 1 sec and the data is filled into the form. Using the webform it takes about 22 secs until the data appears in the form, nvm how much items are returned.
So what I've done until now:
- udcx files stored in the same website as the form
- udcx files stored central
- activating infopath form server proxy
- full trusted form with certificate
- editing the udcx file to force form service proxy usage
- monitoring the communication with whireshark
- trying different external webservices (they all got the same timings)
So after I haven't found a solution for my problem in my form and in the server configuration, I've monitored the communication between our sharepoint system and the external webservice(s). The query itself takes about ~1sec from the start until the answer of the webservice, returning a valid xml-string. But it takes the server up to 20 secs to start the query at all. From sec 0 to 20 u can't see any (outgoing or incoming) communication between our sharepointserver and the external webservice. I'm just thinking of a problem in our infopath service configuration. Maybe something is missing? Are there any special configuration which should be made using udc-files and webservices across the domain? Is there a timer(-job) for infopath services?
Cheers
Chris
