In a nutshell I have a requirement to summarize the budget codes and amounts used on a request. I've followed Hillary's guidance in this post (http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/20829/72142.aspx) to wire everything up needed to get a "group by"-like summary of data entered in a nested repeating section. In the summary view I can't figure out how to hide the duplicate Budget Code rows. I've attached a sample of my form to help explain the issue. When you add another row in the 'lines' section you'll notice that the redundant budget code rows don't hide so it shows 2 rows with the same budget code (but the total is correctly calculated - thanks Hillary!). Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks! 11-21-2013 06:34 PM In reply to Steve Dark Joined on 11-21-2013 Posts 4 a screenshot of the problem in "action" duplicateSummaryRows.png Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact Thanks Hillary that's exactly what I needed!! For anyone interested, the 2 expressions that made this work properly were: -my:budgetCode = preceding-sibling::my:budgetCodes/my:budgetCode -my:budgetCode = ../preceding-sibling::my:lines/my:budgetCodes/my:budgetCode 01-29-2014 12:57 AM In reply to faris Joined on 01-29-2014 Posts 1 Re: Summarizing nested repeating sections Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact You may want to try using a rule which re-calculates the links whenever the drop-down field changes. Please check if this approach would work for you, if not, kindly attach a sample of your form so we could investigate further. faris Page 1 of 1 (5 items) Copyright © 2003-2019 Qdabra Software.
