Hi,

 My form uses a repeating section to add multiple new items. My workflow sends an email when a new item is created. However, is a user enters 10 items on the form, I still want to send only a single email to notify that there are new items.

 Currently, I am getting an email for every item entered, which will just overload the recipient's inbox with unnecessary emails.

What is the best remedy for this?

If I understand you correctly, each new item fires off a new email?

Why not add a helper (hidden) field so that if a new item is added to the repeating table set the helper field to 1. Then if another item is added and the field is 1 don't set the helper field (condition) another email.

I understand the principle, but I don't have a lot of experience with these programs. What kind of expression would I use to set the value of the helper field?

 You add a field to the field list, yet not to the form. You can use a rule to set the value of the field what a button is pressed or another field is not blank.
