    Timestamp for Submit action

    Hi,

I want to save all the time stamp of infopath 2010 form (Modified date and modified time) and display the details as a ordered list. This ordered list will be inside a separate view inside IP 2010.

    Kindly help.

Well - can't you query the library for this info? and then display it in a repeating table in the form? You can order the data in the data connection.

     Hi Hilary,

Thanks for the reply. There are several forms in this form library and i need to know when users change/save/updated each and every form. Can we maintain a separate list of Modified By and Modified date for every form that can be identified by the form name?

Are you talking about the filled out XML submitted to the library or the form templates themselves?

Yes, This is filled out XML info path template that is submitted through the browser. Currently, there are many entries that are submitted by the users. Going forward, they need to know the time stamp and modified by when each submitted form updated by respective users.

So, your library by default has columns for modified by and modified date time - I'm struggling to understand why this data isn't the information you need? It seems to me like you could create a secondary data connection to the library that would return the information. Perhaps attach a screenshot that mocks up what you are trying to do so I can understand. :)

    Hilary,

    Attached the screenshot

I am trying to save the TimeStamp when ever the filled out infopath form is edited and saved in the browser. Currently, i have done it through a text field appending the field value each time the data is saved.

I have used a formula for the text field bound value. But the formatting is not great.

Note: Status is a field captured in the form.

    Thanks,

    Reuben
