I have been utilizing a form in Infopath 2010 connected to a form library in Sharepoint 2007. When some customers submit the form a blank .xml file also writes to the form library. (not all customers have this happen and it’s computer specific not customer specific) This issue just recently started happening we've been using the form successfully for a few years.
From Sharepoint I go to New the form opens Infopath, we fill out the form and press submit, then I see a save box flash by looking like it is saving, then the message The form was submitted successfully. I press OK, then another dialog box "Do you want to save the form I say Yes. Back in the Sharepoint form library, there are now two records, one is the completed form and the other is a blank .xml file.
I’ve repaired MS Office, ran the infopath /cache clearall command and obviously cleared Temp Internet files… We’re running Win7 and the issues doesn’t occur on all computers with the same image. …I really am trying to not have to reimage the machines with the issue…
Any ideas why the blank .xml file is created for some users? Thanks in advance for your help!
