    Problem Opening InfoPath Form

I just created a long form and when I went to save it and publish, I get the following error:

    Form template: file:///\\blims\it$\Geismar%20TrackIT\Forms\PC%20Refresh.xsn
InfoPath cannot open the following view: View 1
The view (.xsl) file creates an HTML file which includes a <base> tag, which is not allowed.

This can happen if the .xsl file has been edited outside of InfoPath.
    Access is denied.

I have removed all hyperlink references and still am having the problem. I searched google and these forums with no luck. Anyone ever seen this before or can offer suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Angie

    Hey Angie,

So, did you edit the XSL outside of the InfoPath designer? It sounds like you are getting some errors because of this. Does Preview work with the Designer?

It might just be that the XSN has become corrupted - this happens sometimes. If you have a backup version you might try reinstating with that. If all else fails, we have some experts at unraveling these often perplexing mysteries - let us know if you need some help!

    Matt,
No I didn't edit the xsl file outside of InfoPath. I did some more research and came across some info on upgrading to SP2. I did that and still no luck. Oh well, I went on and recreated my form.
    Thanks for your help.

Sorry to hear that you had to recreate your form, but from the sounds of it, it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
