Auto-create SharePoint 2010 Site template from Submit Button in InfoPath 2010.

    Hello,

We are on SPT2010 and INFOPATH2010.

I am in the throws of developing a Project Management process. Basically, I have created a site template which will have a whole slew of lists on the SPT "Quick links" for the PM's to fill out. It is all connected. I am using some SPT designer code to display data from the lists to a main project page also utilizing Bamboo Task master Web parts. Now I'm in the process of finalizing the InfoPath form . I want InfoPath 2010 to auto create this template on "Submit."

My InfoPath form has 2 views; an Intake View and an Analyst View. On the Intake view it has basic fields. At the bottom of that view is a submit button to send the form to a doc library. The perceived process will be that when the new form comes in, a workflow will kick out an email to the users indicating a new form is in...they have to go to the Doc Library and use the analyst view to review the specs and create a site for the project. I wanted to automate the process of creating the site and I'm fairly confident I've seen this before but darn it I cannot find it anywhere. The links I've seen are bad and go no where.

     Any assistance is appreciated.

    Regards,

    Hi Rocco Castellano and welcome,

Yes, anything's possible with a little code. You could automate this with a custom workflow. We can help you but it's a bit more involved than a simple forum reply.

Contact me if you'd like to pay for a couple hours of expert time to implement.

    Otherwise, happy searching. :)
