    Repeating Tables

    Hi,

I'm using Infopath to design a form which will allow a team leader to feed back on the people within his/her team. The feedback consists of a single paragraph of text feedback for each person and a numerical score.  So that the data entry process is streamlined I'm planning on using a repeating table with each row corresponding to one of the individuals in any given team leader's team.

Each team leader obviously has different people in his team but I'd like to avoid a team leader having to manually type in the names of each team member.

Is there any way of prepopulating the rows in the repeating table with the names of members of each leaders team but only the members of his/her team?

Any help would be massively appreciated!

I would have create an XML file that contains all the teams and the teamleaders.

Then use the repeating table functionlity to filter results

Yes, RCant's idea is good. And, there's an easy way to do this. Just create another InfoPath template for editing teams and teamleaders (repeating table with two columns, right). Then, preview this and fill it out and when you are done, do a File->Save As and save this XML as "TeamLeaders.xml". Close the preview. Go into File->Form Options->Preview and browse to the form you saved. Now preview again and you should see the values you just entered. OK, now save this template as "TeamLeaders.xsn" (you can use it later to add more teams). Finally, go back to your original template and click Data Connections and add a receive connection to an XML file and specify the TeamLeaders.xml file you created. Now you can use this to auto-populate your values.
