Hi,
I am not sure if this question (and the response) is already in the forum. But when I searched I could not stumble on that one.
I am creating an infopath form that pulls data from SharePoint lists. The infopath form is created in such a way that when the form users' fill in Employee ID (all numbers), the form uses the secondary data connection and reaches out to SharePoint list and fetches the corresponding Employee Name, Pay, Grade, leave information and fills in the releavant text box controls.
When I uploaded the employee information database into the SharePoint as a list, it listed the Emp number column values typically with commas (100,990,80). I created a calculated column that removed the commas from the Employee number (Emp_No_Calc) column in SharePoint and listed in SharePoint. This calculated value column is being queried by the InfoPath form when the form users (fillers) type the employee number. Everything worked like a charm in my laptop until I had to publish it for others to UAT.
During UAT, when they did try by typing some sample Employee numbers, it gave an error message stating they are typing an invalid Employee number (though the number is valid).
I opened the Data connection config in one of the UAT person's laptop and verified the list of columns that data connection pulls from SharePoint list. To my surprise, I am NOT able to see my calculated column (Emp_No_Calc) in the list of columns under the data connection in his laptop.
Any suggestions on how this can be resolved? Thanks in advance.
Thanks
