Form Template saved on SharePoint won't save changes

I've had a form template (.xsn) saved to a network drive for some time, but I now have colleagues that are in different locations throughout the company who don't have the same network drive access that I do.  I copied the original file from my network drive to a SharePoint document library on a site that my colleagues do have this level of access. I then republished from that location.  My next step was to open the template using InfoPath Designer via "My Network Places".  If I make changes to the template, republish and save the template I expect to see them the next time I open the document in design view.  Unfortunately I don't.  It's as if my changes don't appear to "take".  In addition I've found that republishing the document breaks my external data connections (I am feeding 2 combo boxes with SharePoint lists).  Has anyone experienced this behavior?  I'm at a loss for why this is happening...

It may have to do with the form name. You have the form in two locations but with the same name.

You should have been careful to rename the form name when you published to the new location - File -> Form Template Properties -> Name.

Please try renaming the form and republishing. If that doesn't fix the issue, please reply all.

My guess is that it will fix the issue since the form name is used to determine which form to open and if people (you in this case) have a single cached copy, it will likely be to the old version.

    Just an idea,
