Hello,
I have a drop down list that reads from a SharePoint list and I want a second drop down list that filters out my choices already made. Let's say the SharePoint list that contains all the items is called All_Items_List and the field in the list is Title and the current rows contain; Apple, Bannana, Peach, Orange
I have a form that is contains two drop down controls.
The first one reads from the SharePoint list "All_Items_List". When the selection is made from the list items drop down control it opens a new form from a form library, lets call this one "Fruit_Information_Library"
The second drop down list is for editing the already created forms. This just reads the title from the library "Fruit_Information_Library"
What I'm trying to do is filter the drop down control that comes the SharePoint list, "All_Items_List" to not show any form submissions with the same title.
ie.
1) Launch Picker form which contains the picking controls, first control is for selecting the title and launching the new form for data entry.
--All_Items_List drop down Contains--
Apple
Bannana
Peach
Orange
2) Select from the control and launch to an empty form (Let's say I picked Peach). The form is filled out and submitted to the SharePoint Form Library "Fruit_Information_Library".
3) Go back to the Picker form to create another Form and fill in the information
4) Open the drop down control and now I only have the follwing to pick from
--All_Items_List drop down Contains--
Apple
Bannana
Orange
5) Again select from the drop down list and pick Apple
6) If I wanted to edit one of these forms I would use the second drop down control which shows all item titles saved in the Form Library "Fruit_Information_Library"
7) The selections would be Apple and Peach
How can I filter out the already picked items on the create form drop down control?
Thanks for your help sorry this post is so verbose
