Convert repeating section of InfoPath form to XML

    Hi together,

what can I do, if the xml-code that converts the repeating section of my InfoPath form to a workflow-variable (so I can use the data for a notification-mail) is displaying certain (special) characters incorrectly, even though they appear correctly from the fields of the non-repeating sections?

I suppose you could encode the special characters before passing them to your workflow.

    Hi Patrick,

could you give me an example on which would be the best way to do that?

You'll need to create a custom workflow.

Another option would be just not to create the special characters to begin with. You can add validation to your form to prevent people from adding those characters.

Yet another option would be to encode the characters when the form is submitted. qRules Encode command could be used. You'd have to inject your form with qRules (easy) but it's a third party tool and while there is a free trial available, there is a small amount of money involved to purchase a license.
