Filter null dateonlytype field from SharePoint list data connection

Hi there, Using InfoPath 2010 and the "newer" sharepoint list data connection type. I'm desparately looking for some guidance on using the new query fields model of a sharepoint list data connection to include only values that have a null/blank/nil="true" dateonlytype value. I can't figure out what to set the filter value to so that it will only return list items that meet this criteria. Please help - thanks!!

SharePoint list date types are different from InfoPath. And, I'm pretty sure they are not XML date types. In other words, they don't have xsi:nil attribute.

You can't use out-of-box 2010 ShP list/library filters to find blank values, but you could have your list automatically set them to some dummy value (like "nodata") and you could filter on that.

Another option is to use the REST listdata.svc which will support complex filters like &$filter=date eq ''

Send us email if you need some hands-on help.
