InfoPath Dev

I have a simple Infopath 2010 form with 3 fields. all the fields are compulsory. but when I filled in text in field1 and moved to the next field, the red asterisk still appears (as shown below), and when I click submit, it would say I haven't filled in all the required fields.

 I have to come back to the first field, and sometime add a space to remove the red asterisk.

Has anyone encountered similar issue? if so, how do you resolve this.

The form is a standard Infopath list form, and text fields are just standard  richtext box fields.

I checked the text box properties all over, and can't find anything unusual.

It is most appreciated if someone can help me fix this issue.

 Hi - the field just is set to can't be blank? No additional data validation on it?

That's right, no other validations except "Cannot be blank".

I also noticed that when I entered the text for the first time for the first field, the ribbon did not  appear, 

it is only after I clicked away, entered the text at field2 then come back to first text field, the ribbon appears and. then error validation disappears.

 It's as if it does not know the text has been entered initially.

Any suggestions?

 I'd remove the rich text control and re-add it to the view.

 looks like this is a bug with rich textbox.
