L004:Document type count exceeded. Please upgrade your Database Accelerator licence or delete document types

    Hi,

I installed the Standalone version of the DBXL (trial) and configured my form and tables and found out I needed the server version when I tried to create the SharePoint connection for the form. So I proceeded to uninstall the standalone version and install the server version (I told the installation to use the same DBLX database).

The installation went through, I see my Document type there but when I tried to create the connection to the SharePoint I receive a message saying:

“L004:Document type count exceeded. Please upgrade your Database Accelerator license or delete document types”

I only have 1 document type but the number appears in red in the "Document Type Configuration" screen

In the "Configuration license" screen I see:

    •  5 Doc types, 1 is in use, remaining 4.
    •  200 Documents, 1 in use, remaining 199.
    • The license expires 15/09/2013

I checked then the event log files I found out that there is and error related to the licese there:

    "Error loading trial license
Cannot add a trial license because another trial license is already installed. Please contact support if you need to extend the trial period encountered a critical error and needs attention.”

     Any help will be appreciated.

    Sandra

I believe this has been handled via our support alias, but in case the answer helps anyone else: the DBXL Server Edition had been installed over ("Use Existing Databases") the DBXL Standalone Edition, and therefore there was a licensing clash.
