Replace in query

I'm using a query like this:

SELECT Replace(ProjectDescription, 'CUE - ', '') FROM Projects

This query works in Access but won't run in my C# code. I'm trying to fill a dataset but it doesn't like this for some reason. Does anyone know why? Thanks for your help.
