    Fields Unexpectedly Clearing

I have two drop down lists in a Repeating Section. A country list and a state list. When the user selects a country a web service populates the states list based off of the country selected. When you are previewing the form everything works as expected. Once the form is ran in the browser and a country is selected all the other fields in the repeating section loose any information that has typed into them.

The same behavior happens if I filter the state based off of the country selected instead of using a web service. Once the field filters any data entered into the repeating seciton clears.

I started a new form without any code behind or rules on any of the fields expect what is needed to call the web service. I have also tried going to properties - browser forms - and selecting never then always. I cannot explain this behavior.

     Hi-

For the second scenario (filter using rules instead of the web service): If you have rules that try to filter and set values, you might need to look into using the formula current(). This allows the browser form to get the value from the current field; using dot (.) in the formula boxes often fails.

For the web service scenario, it's hard to know since I'm assuming it's a custom web service (and we don't know how that is designed to work).

One troubleshooting option is to disable rules (one by one) in your form; there may be a rule that is causing an issue (even if it looks like it shouldn't cause an issue).
