    Viewing Hyperlinks

I have a form that has many static and dynamically created hyperlinks to files in a shared file system. Half of the form users have Internet Explorer as their default browser and the other half have FireFox. If a user has IE, he can see all hyperlinks. If a user has FireFox, these links are inactive. Currently, this form is not fully trusted and requires domain access in order to receive data from web services. Any suggestions on how to make this work with both browsers?

Interesting. When you say the links are inactive what do you mean specifically? Are they not clickable, or does clicking them do nothing?

Clicking the link results in no response. The links appear to be active.

I've had a chance to do some testing. If I create a new simple form with one hyperlink, make the form "Restricted" and publish it to a shared location, users that have FireFox can open the form and the link works. If I let the form select the security level or set it to "Domain", the FireFox user cannot view the link. Curiously, IE launches to display the file and not FireFox.

I appreciate the help so far, but I'm still stuck here. Can I provide more information? Thanks!

This may be due to the fact that the InfoPath's security model is intricately linked with IE's security model for domain permissions particularly.

I believe that there may not be a way to get the link to open in FireFox for a domain form, but this is only a guess.

Thanks for the quick reply. Would it help to make the form fully trusted?

I don't know, but it is worth trying to see if it helps. That can work around some security issues.
