I’m using InfoPath 2010, but designing a browser-enabled form downgraded to InfoPath 2007.I have a project form with a secondary data connection to a SharePoint list. I have a button to Query for Data. I am using a repeating table.
| Project_Name |
Project_Status |
Initial_Date |
Current_Date |
| Test project A |
Active |
2013/04/01 |
2013/04/08 |
| Test project B |
Active |
2013/04/01 |
2013/04/08 |
Insert Item
Users select the Project_Name from the drop down list which is populated from SharePoint. I have rules set up when the Project_Name field changes in InfoPath, it sets the value of a hidden field named Project_Name_Result to the value of the Project_Name field. Then I have 3 more “action” rules that set the other field’s values using these expressions: @Project_Status[current()/../Project_Name_Result = @Project_Name], @Initial_Date[current()/../Project_Name_Result = @Project_Name], @Current_Date[current()/../Project_Name_Result = @Project_Name]
This is all working to get the data from SharePoint, but my problem is, the data won’t refresh when I click the query button because no change action actually occurs on the Project Name fields in the repeating table. In order to get the data to refresh, I have to select a different project name and then re-select the desired project name to trigger a change to the status and date fields of the selected project.
Is there a way to trick InfoPath into thinking a change action occurred to each row of the repeating table and refresh the data keeping the existing project name selection?
