    formatting a date within a concat statement

    Hello,

     I created a concat statement that adds text before the date so it looks something like, "Posted on March 13 2013".  The filer works fine but when I tried to post the form to SharePoint it did not like it for the browser.  Is there another way to make this happen?

    My concat statement:

    concat("Posted on ",(msxsl:format-date(../my:PostedDate,"dddd MMMM ddd yyyy")))

    <SharePoint 2010, InfoPath 2010>

    Thanks for your help.

    Hm... what do you mean? Did the form not publish due to an error in Design Checker, or did you obtain a value you did not expect as a result of the concat statement?

    I guess I would check whether the function format-date works in the browser, without the concat statement, then build up to your current formula to see at what point it "breaks".
