InfoPath Dev

Hi there.  My client recently upgraded to v4.3 of QRules.  I have noticed that adding/deleting files to the form, and moving them to a SPList is no longer working correctly.  If I run my form on preview mode, it works as intended.

This is an IP2010, admin approved, browser only form

When I monitor the ULS logs, I get this message:

• The file or folder name contains characters that are not permitted. Please use a different name.<nativehr>0x81020073</nativehr><nativestack></nativestack>

I'm not sure where else to look. I've also noticed that the QRulesLink value is http://MyServer/_layouts/

instead of the usual http://MyServer/listX/abcd.txt

I've removed the QRules v4.3 from my form (C# Code remove code trick), and then re-injected the form, recreated the map, recreated the steps.  And yet, it is still giving me this error.  The QRules Injector is version 4.3.4738.26423

Was this working previously, on qRules v4.2?

The error seems to suggest that there's an issue with the filename. What's the filename and what's the list name (or foldername)?

Have you checked the QdabraRules > Error node to see if any additional information is being returned by qRules?

Hi Ernesto.  yes I've gotten it to work back on v4.2 http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/24512/84745.aspx#84745, it was a mapping issue.  I have made lots of modifications to the form since then.

What I know, is that it is not working correctly anymore.  I went and recreated the error on a sample form with less complexity and I still get that error.  Is there a way I can find out what filename, list name, and/or folder name that is being passed from QRules to either the AddAttachment or the DeleteAttachment methods of the Lists.asmx?

I have included the mapping and the xsn that I'm using to test.

Hi - can you set /QdabraRules/Form/@useWebServices in the QdabraRules data source to true prior to executing the command in the browser? What happens then? That will execute the command using web services instead of the SharePoint object model. I'm going to test in the browser on one of our servers so we can see if there is a bug in the browser version, but this might be a work around for you.

Hi Hilary.  Setting the QRules to use the web services did the trick.  It is now back to working again.!!!  Thanks for your time.

Thanks for letting us know about the possible issue. We'll see if we can repro on our servers and update this thread with more info.
