    parent child relationship form

I'm developing a parent child relationship in an infopath form 2010 that when you search from a parent form for a serial number, it will search for that form that is related to that serial number and when you click that form some of  the details of that serial number will populate and other fields can be filled up and so what I'm thinking is I could create a data connection that will pull up the column of Name (linked to document with edit menu) from SharePoint 2007 and will use that link as a child when they search for serial number. How could I pull the Name (linked to document with edit menu) from sharepoint because when I created a dataconnection it doesn't show and couldn't add that column to my dataconnection. Any ideas for this and how I'm going to create this parent child relationship?

    Hi-

Any columns that you wish to retrieve from a SharePoint form library need to be promoted properties.

So I would first check the (source) form promoted properties, then try the data connection in the new (target) form.

    Good luck!
