Getting data from dropdown-list to repeating table

    Hi

I am working on a form used to conduct reviews of several different deliverables.

I the form I have a repeating table, used to enter name and email of the reviewers. For most deliverables the users can freely add reviewers and type in their information in the repeating table. For 1 type of deliverables however the user have to choose exactly 2 reviewers from 2 dropdown lists.

Several fields in the form can only be filled out/edited by the reviewers entered in the repeating table. Therefore if the special type of review is selected, I would like the form to automatically take the values selected in the dropdown and add them to the repeating table. So the repeating table should automatically get 2 rows and then get the information as selections are made in the dropdown. I am having some problems getting the information from the dropdowns to the repeating table. I can easily enough get the data from the first dropdown copied over used simple rules, however when the second dropdown is changed, it just overwrites the data from the first dropdown.

So what I need is the dropdowns to add another row to the table and copy the data in.

You can't add a row to the repeating table on the fly without using code (or qRules). You can, however, define the default values so the repeating table has two rows by default. Of course, if the table could have one or three rows, then defining the default data to have two rows will prove inconvenient. If using qRules the command would be Insert.

Then, to set the values, you might be able to use xpath manipulation in the manifest (I believe there is a tutorial on this site on this; let me know if you can't find it.) to set the value of a field within the repeating table (not the first row). This can also be accomplished using code or qRules (SetValue).

    Good luck!
