Query using a data connection - aka "Query for Data"

I have 2 forms used for tracking calls  and resolving issues.  The first is called "Tier 2" - this is the rep who answers the call and fills in basic information.  Tier 3 can be assigned an issue resulting from this call.  In their form, I want them to be able to enter or select an ID and have this form (the "Tier 3" form)  pre-fill with the basic information filled in by Tier 2.  Do I have to do this field by field in rules used to set a field's value?  Or is there a way to plug the ID# into a query and fill in all of the information from the Tier 2 form?

I tried using a Tier 2 and Tier 3 view but the customer wants them separate for security purposes (doesn't want T2 folks to see all of the T3 data).

    Thanks!
    Chris

Yes, I believe that (unless you want to write some code) you would need rules to go thru each field and set them one by one. Sorry for the bad news!
