Input Validation Format, Differenct to Back End Validation.

    All,

Can you show a field to a user as one format/pattern? Yet at the back end it's another format/pattern?

I've a field for a bank and I want the user to input numbers as XX-XX-XX.

Yet the "back end" only accepts XXXXXX

Alternatively I'll have to show a tip saying whole number only.

    Thanks

    W

You could use separate fields for the three input fields, and then concatenate those into the "back end" value.

I'm attaching a sample form. You can save it down, open it in design mode, and take a look at what I've configured. Then preview the form to try it out.

    Hope this helps!
