We have a forms library that is set to open in the client application.

When we go to the library and select either add new or click on an existing it opens in Infopath which is great.

However, when we get a link to the form from a workflow the link tries to open the form in the browser and we get the error that the form is not browser enabled.... we don;t want it browser enabled so why is the link attempting to do so?

This only happens for some people. I am on IP 2010 and it doesn't work for me. A colleague is on IP 2003 and it works fine for him.

What is the link value in the hyperlink? Does it include parameters like "DefaultOpenIn", etc?

My colleague has been fiddling with the url in an effort to get it to work... at the moment an example reads....

I'm sure this has been tried - but what about using the direct link to the XML? I think with the library set to client, the direct link should open in filler... you can easily test w/out changing the workflow by emailing the users who are having the issue with a link to an XML and see what happens on their machines...

Linking direct to the form e.g. http://server/site/library/form.xml redirects to the URL shown above and then errors - only for a couple of us.

IP 2003 clients are fine
