Bring forward a form on a specific date

Hi, we designed a form which will allow employees to enter network access requests. Some of these accesses are only in place until a certain date.  When the user enters a 'begin' date and and 'end' date, I'd like to be able to have SharePoint (or InfoPath Designer using a workflow) notify us by email when we are to review the request on the 'end' date.  Essentially I'd like it to do what Outlook does - you can set a reminder to notify you to follow up on a certain date (or whichever date the user enters as the 'end' date) and it will automatically send you an email asking you to review the form.

Is this possible? How would I go about it?  My experience and knowledge of SharePoint Designer and Infopath 2010 is pretty good but this is one area in which I can't grasp the programming aspect.

    Thanks!

    Dan

    Hi Dan,

I think SharePoint Designer pretty much does it. When you create a workflow, select the condition where "End Date" is not blank and then select the action Send an email. I don't have the exact fields for you but if you create the workflow, there are some guidance there and you'll surely know what to do. When configuring the email action, you can look up for the End Date field and add that to the email body so people will know when to review the form.

     Hope that helps!
