InfoPath 2010 - Cannot connect to the data source error

I m using remote desktop connection to log into the machine that hosts my SharePoint 2010 server. There, I created a custom web service using the instructions in this link : Walkthrough:Creating a Custom ASP.NET (ASMX) web service in SharePoint 2010

Inside my server, I could successfully test my custom webservice and was also able to use in my browser based 2010 InfoPath form. I created a data connection file as well and approved it in my site. Everything works as expected inside the machine that I m doing remote desktop connection. When I tried to access the site from outside the SharePoint server machine, it always says

An error occurred while trying to connect to a Web service.

An entry has been added to the Windows event log of the server.
    Log ID:5566

    Correlation ID:284f9140-db67-45cf-898a-293ed832750f

I have been searching everywhere to resolve this issue but couldn't yet find a solution. Can anyone point me to right direction? THanks. I have spent so much time in it and right now i m clueless to move onto next step. Please kindly help.

It might be a permission-related issue. Check the SharePoint logs more details on the error you're getting. In the ShP 2010 server, the log files are generally located in: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS\
