    Data Validation

    Hi

I am pretty much still a noob at this point. I have a form that has some check boxes in it and we are using it to update process flow.

We check the boxes when ever a step is completed.

I would like to add some alerts or make it where you cannot check the box for step 2 and 3 if step 1 is not completed.

Does anyone know an easy way to do this. The check boxes do not have to be check boxes if this can be done a different way or a better way.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Donovan,

This should be easy with conditional formatting. Put conditional formatting on the step2 checkbox that "Disables this control" if "step1" "is equal to" "FALSE".

Do the same for the step3 checkbox, but check to see if the step2 is FALSE.

Note that you only have to check the previous steps check box because if it is true then it is assumed that the checkboxes above it are true.
