    Add record to Access DB

I am just getting my feet wet when it comes to Infopath development so I apoligize for my "noobishness" ahead of time.

I am developing an InfoPath Time Card template that will submit records to an Access database. This template has a repeating table. The first column of the repeating table has a drop-down list pre-populated with project numbers. I can add this data to the database with no problem.

Columns 2-8 have textboxes where the end user will put in the hours spent on a project for each day of the week, Sunday through Saturday. Elsewhere on the form are textboxes that have the date for Sunday through Saturday.

When I submit this data to the database, I need to add one record for each day of the week for each project number. Each record will conain the date, project number and hours spent on that project.

My database table already has the necessary fields. I need help submitting the date along with the hours worked for each project.

Any suggestions on how to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

You should be able to create a join between multiple tables in your main data connection -- is that what you are asking?

It would not be a join. One record in the database would contain the date, project number and hours worked.

The InfoPath form has a repeating table. The first column in each row contains the project number. Columns 2 through 8 are where the hours for that project would be listed for each day of the week. Column 2 is Sunday, Column 3 is Monday, etc.

Along the top of the repeating table are the dates for each day of the week. So on top of Sunday it may say 2Sep12, on top of Monday it would say 3Sep12.

This layout allows the client to use a single form to enter the hours for all of the projects worked on for the entire week.

The problem I am having is associating the date for Sunday with the hours for Sunday. Same thing for the rest of the days of the week. I cannot figure out how to loop through the repeating table and assign the date for Sunday to each project that has hours listed for Sunday.
