That sucks. Is there at least a way to catch the users input and try to validate it?
I setup a hidden field for each multiple selection box and then I found another thread here which contained a formula which will write the checked values -- > substring(eval(eval(DeploymentPrefs[. != ""], 'concat(";", .)'), ".."), 2)
The above works and whenever you check a value it writes it to the field containing that formula. Then I created other text fields that I want to be hidden unless the user selects wrong values. For example if they select Workstation in Deployment Preference but not Windows 7 in Target OS I want the warning message to become visible otherwise it should be hidden. I can only get the rule to work with 1 or 2 combinations of possible mismatched selections but there are too many and I can't figure out how to setup the rules. For example I have one rule that says if DeplPref does not contain "Workstation" OR TargetOS does not contain "Server" then hide the control (text box with the warning about mismatch). Problem is there are too many combinations...
Here are some possible combinations:
If Deployment Pref = Workstation then Target OS must contain Windows 7 (any of the 2)
If Deployment Pref = Servers, and/or, and/or Autosys then Target OS must contain Server (any of the 4)
If Deployment Pref = Workstation AND Servers and/or Citrix and/or Autosys then Target OS must contain Windows 7 (any of the 2) AND Server (any of the 4)
