InfoPath Dev

I have two Query Fields in my form. The first is populated by the user via a drop down box. The second i want the user to either enter information or leave blank. However, if they leave this blank, I actually want the data returned to be blank (or null) for that field. Right now if I leave it blank, it return everything. I'm only looking for records where that field is actually empty. Is this possible (hopefully without writing code)? Thanks, K13

You're absolutely right that this should work, but I think what you're experiencing is the intended design.  Perhaps a workaround that will work is to use filters.  Create a secondary data connection to the list and then filter all of the entries where that field is not blank.  Hopefully that will work for you!
