I'm having trouble running the rules in InfoPath Form

I'm still very new with Infopath Form. Okay here's what I have done so far.

I'm doing a tutorial I found online that integrate SharePoint with InfoPath. This is what I need to do and I have done all of those three.

First, Create a content type “Book” with the following columns

    • Title
    • Author (text)
    • Edition (text)
    • Page Count (text)
    • Checked Out (yes/no default no)
    • Date Checked out (Date/Time)
    • Checked Out To (person)

Second, Create a custom list called "Books" and associate the "Book" content type with the list.

Finally, - Modify the InfoPath form for the book content type in the books library (look for the infopath button on the ribbon after setting “book” as the default content type in the list)

    • Add a rule to the Checked Out field
    • Condition – If Checked Out = Yes
    • Action – Set Field (Checked Out To) = formula “userName()”
    • Add another rule
    • Condition – If Checked Out = No
    • Action – Set Field (Checked Out To) = “”

I'm having trouble doing the final stage. If I newly create the list, and check the "Checked Out" Box, I'm able to see the username display in the "Checked Out To" field in the Form. However, when I submit the form, the new list I just created will not even show the username that is assign to "Checked Out To". I also try to modified the list, so I checked the "Checked Out" Box, the form will not display the username at all the at"Checked Out To" field. I know the rule is being trigger but it won't even show the username at all. I thought maybe if I submit the form it will display in the list eventually, I was completely wrong the final result will not even show the username that is assign to "Checked Out To" field.

I'm not too sure where I did wrong. I even redo the list all over again to try to solve my problem.

    I'm using:
    • Window Server 2008
    • InfoPath 2010
    • SharePoint 2010
    Thank you
