Hi,

 I've created a browser-enabled form that opens up on a SharePoint site.  In the form itself, there is a dropdown list and I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to get it to be able to send an automated email whenever someone selects a particular item from that dropdown list.  I want it to be able to recognize who the submitter was, send an email to that person saying the request was complete as well as an email to a distributed email address.

 Is this possible??  In my mind, it seems so easy, but I'm having the hardest time trying to figure out how to make that actually work.

Hi there,

You should look into SharePoint workflows.  There are actions that you can create that will send an email to a person that creates the item.  Take a look online at some tutorials out there and let me know if you need me to point you into the right direction.  Good luck!
