Data Removed from a Repeating table

    Hi Everyone,

I have a very poor knowledge of how to code things so I was hoping someone could help me.

I have a problem where if someone removes a row in a repeating table, none of the rules I have setup to change data sources (inside and outside of the repeating table) work.  These rules would change a data source if the particular field (inside the repeating table) is blank, or changed to blank.

For example, if a user enters data in a text box within my repeating table, then deletes it I have rules that will do what I need and everything works.

But where it falls over is if  the user removes the entire row, none of the rules to change data sources if the field is blank will kick off.

Is there a way I can use code to blank all of the data sources inside the repeating table (to kick off the attached rules) before the row is actually removed?

    I hope this makes sense.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,

I think what you are saying makes sense.  Unfortunately, InfoPath doesn't have a way to fire rules on the insert or remove action of a repeating table.  All of the rules in InfoPath are triggered off of either a button click or a field change.  Perhaps if you elaborated on your scenario a bit we can try to find a workaround that will work for your scenario.
