We have a production server that I do not have access to, but can collaborate with the server admin to deploy solutions. The task i need to do is, for the Out of the box Sharepoint 2010 approval workflow, simply just change the button labels from "Approve" to "Reviewed" and "Reject" to "Take further action".
So what i've done is ask the server admin to open the root site in sp designer 2010 and issue a copy/modify which would make a new set of xsn and approval workflow in the production sharepoint 2010.
Well, my thought here is to simply perform the same copy/modify on my local machine, perform those button label updates to the Approval Workflow Task x0028en.xsn file and provide the server admin the updated files so he can simply deploy them. well, what i need help with is how does he take these files and actually deploy them to the server? Can he simply navigate to the custom approval workflow folder from within c:\commonfiles\....14\features\CustomApproval\ folder and override those files from within the production server?
Need some help with deploying this local version to a server that they do not allow me access to.
I suppose i can sit at his desk and deploy manually each change to the form within infoPath, but i need to seek alternatives at this point and leave that has worst case.
