    Submit button question

I have a newform that has a dropdown field named "Status" and need to have the value of status field change automatically when i click on the save/submit button that the newform originally has on top of the form(ribbon was it?), not a created button.

Does Infopath has a PreSaveAction() function like that of Sharepoint? How can one set this up if it doesn't?

For now, what i did was just set the default of the field to the one i wanted it to be on when i save a brand new form.

    Tks.

You can create a rule on the Submit button by adding your own button to the form and then adding your own rules as well as the submit rule.  You'll probably have to remove the ribbon ribbon from the options menu.

I'm not sure if there is a PreSaveAction() equivalent in InfoPath.
