Not sure where to post this. I have created an Infopath 2010 Reservation form. The form is created for each day that a reservation can be made. On the form are 9 time slots. A user will select an open slot and add their name. On submit, the form emails to several places. The forms are saved in a Sharepoint 2010 library. The owner will create her Tuesday and Thursday forms, rename, etc. This all works well. What I need is to set up an autosave on submit along with the email, and not creating a new SP file. I can have the user click Save and all is good, but users being users, someone will submit, receive the email, but the timeslot will still be empty because it did not autosave. Thanks.

So I assume that Submit is submitting via email, and Save is allowing the users to save the data in the library.

Why not change the form to disable Save (in Form Options) and add a data connection that submits to the form library? This way you ensure that users will always follow one option only, that is, when they click the button, the form is both submitted to the library and emailed.

Thanks for replying so fast! I will check that out. Each day's file will be overwritten at least 9 times by 9 different users. I want to make sure I am not creating 9 different files for the same day. Make sense? Thanks again.
