Delete sharepoint list row after copied from Sharepoint List to Local Repeating Table

I am using infopath 2010 and SP Server 2010.  I am querying a SP list for data then copying the returned rows into a repeating table in my main data connection.  I have been able to accomplish this with Qrules using the CopyTable function.

I can then modify anything copied or add new rows and submit the data back to the Sharepoint list without a problem.

I now need the ability to delete a row in my main data connection and have that change reflected in the list.  There appears to be some information available for Infopath 2007 and some conflicting information between the forums and your documentation for Qrules 3.3 on the delete command and the Refresh/RefreshSharePointListItems commands.  There also appears to be a problem with using the qRulesLastModied attribute with the CopyTable command.

I am looking for a very basic step by step procedure on how to set this up.  Would it be possible to give a quick guide to solve my problem starting with how to populate my main data connection's repeating table and ending with what commands are to be used and on what data connections.

    Hi -

Yes, the qRulesLastModified attribute would be an issue with using CopyTable.

While not a step by step for your particular solution, we have this document that covers how to use RefreshSharePointListItems. The delete command won't affect your SharePoint list - it is only for use in deleting items from the main data source. If you could direct me to:

I'd appreciate it. We certainly don't want conflicting information confusing users.

Any 2007 documentation should also work for 2010 - the UI is a little different, but the rules and logic would be the same.

This document covers copying repeating data into your form where the schemas don't match, which will get your SharePoint items into your main data source (instead of using CopyTable).

Hope this helps get you started! Please let us know if you have any specific questions. We also offer paid support, and someone from our team can help you with your form directly.
