    I have created a content type with custom site column choice filed for status (Pending,Hold,Accept,Reject). I am trying to update the content type status column in SPD workflow. Its not setting the filed. Any help would be appreciated..

    There should be an action in SPD called Update List Item that you can use to edit that status field on your list.
