How to refresh a value that depends on two choices

    Hello All,

following situation is driving me nuts:

In my form I have 4 buttons labelled with the years 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

The user is aked to press one of these buttons to decide whether he wants to have the hourly rates of 2012, 2013, 2014 or 2015. The hourly rates are fetched into the form via  2nd data connection from a SharePoint list.

Then, I have a repeating table containing a dropdown-field. In the dropdown-field the user can choose a certain activity. Depending on what activity the user have chosen from the dropdown-field and considering the pressed button mentioned above the corresponding hourly rate shois set in the field 'rate'.

After this is done the user should still be able to change the year by pressing another button from above. Unfortunately, the corresponding rate is not set to the field 'rate', but the rate that was determined with the first choice is still in the field 'rate'.

    Example:

    -User presses button '2012'

-User chooses activity 'Purchase' from the dropdown-field (in repeating table)

-Hourly rate for '2012' and 'Purchase' is set to field 'rate'

-User does not want to have the rate for '2012' but for '2013'. Thus, he presses the button labelled '2013'

-Problem: The field 'rate' is still showing the rate for '2012'. The rate will only be refreshed, after the user has chosen another activity.

Do you have any idea or hint how to solve this issue?

Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi-

Unfortunately, it sounds like an issue with your rules or your data schema.

It's hard to give advice on this without seeing the form, or more information about the schema and the rules you are using.

There is an Options tab, when replying, which allows you to include attachments, if those would help to explain.

    Thanks.

    Hi ErnestoM,

    thanks for your reply.

You assumed correctly that there were issues with my rules.

I deleted them all and started new. Now it works great and without any irritations.

    Thanks again for your response.
