    QRules to update SharePoint List

Hi we have purchased QRules over the weekend and have got it working wonderfully to create SharePoint list items from an Infopath form and then link the list items to the form.

What I am now trying to achieve is the following and wondered if anyone could advise whether it is possible:

I have a ShrePoint custom list that contains items of work, what I want is a form where I will be able to select un allocated items of work from a drop down list data field that is connected to the custom list and assign them to this form, once they have been added the form will write back the form reference to a column on the added list item and link it with the form.

Has anyone seen anything like this done before using QRules??

Thanks in advance for any advice people.

    Hi-

    This should be possible.

You would need to query the entire list, and have a dropdown of IDs that the user can choose from. Say the user selects ID=8 to associate with the form that is open. The form would need to use Insert to add a new row, set the ID field in the new row (Main DOM) to the ID from the item (2ds), and then the use the Refresh command to populate the item per the mapping that you have configured.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks for the response I think I know what to do now, are there any guides published by Qdabra detailing the above methods?
