    Secured web service

Hi! I'm using InfoPath to test web services developed in java. Now, i need to test a secured web service. It requires the Authorization field in HTTP Header. But i don't know how to set Basic Authorization in InfoPath, if it's possible. Any suggestion? Thanks!!!

Have you gone ahead and tried using it yet?  If InfoPath encounters a 401 asking for authorization, it will show the user a password prompt.

Hi Jimmy, Thank you for your quick response. It's true if server security is enabled. But in my case security doesn't use server authentication but a custom approach reading the Authorization attribute from Http Header and validating credentials against a database. So InfoPath doesn't prompt for username and password. So i want to know if there is a way to set username and password in Http Header anyway. Thank you!!!

As far as I know, there isn't a way to do that.

What if you had your web service return a 401 requesting authentication (I'm not quite sure how it would be formulated) if the HTTP request didn't contain the Authorization header?  That might cause InfoPath to prompt the user for authentication.
